So, my father stole my Aadhaar card and some other ID documents without my permission. I already reported them missing to the police. But here’s the crazy part, on May 11, 2024, he used my stolen Aadhaar to switch my phone number (+91 7900260103) from Airtel to Jio and put it under his own name. Later, my mother saw a photo from the police showing my number was with Airtel earlier. But then I saw a Jio bill that shows my number is now with Jio, under my father’s name, Ashish Jain, but weirdly linked to my email (jsurbhi20003@gmail.com). Police can check with Airtel or Jio to confirm this switch happened if they want to but they don’t. I’ve been complaining to Jio, Airtel, and the telecom authorities, but they just keep pointing fingers at each other. To make things worse, on that same day, May 11, my dad father two OTPs from UIDAI and changed my Aadhaar details without my consent. I was stuck in their house without my phone or any gadgets, so I couldn’t have approved those changes. You can verify this through UIDAI’s records i am mentioning below.
